Drawn from Ojibwe beadwork, our Storm Flower Bath Towel designed by Giizh Agaton Howes (Anishinaabe/Ojibwe) celebrates the connection between storms and seeds, between thunder and thriving.
In a stormy gray and cloudy white, Giizh’s classic woodland florals share a scene of the growth and abundance that comes after a good rain. “It can be tricky to translate the concept of thunder to a non-Ojibwe audience,” shares Giizh. “The western audience has been taught to see thunder as scary and spooky, and sometimes even evil. But in the Ojibwe way of thinking, thunder is vital. Storm clouds and thunder are important and respected, because they bring many gifts, including life-giving rain. It’s important to see the gifts all types of weather bring, and find beauty and meaning in all types of days.”
Whether you’re enjoying a long and relaxing soak or just drying off after a quick shower, our fluffy, Native-designed bath towels are the perfect blend of form and function to beautify your bathroom. In muted gray and white, our bath towels are perfect as a matching set, or add even more visual interest with mix-and-match patterns while staying visually cohesive through their muted palette. Plush and absorbent, not to mention authentically Native designed, Eighth Generation's bath towels are the perfect merger of form and function.
