New Day Dog Leash

People shouldn't have all the Native-designed fun—now your four-legged friends can rock authentic Native style in our New Day Dog Leash designed by Anishinaabe-Ojibwe artist Giizh Agaton Howes.

Giizh's beautiful design is based on traditional Ojibwe loom designs with a modern twist. "New Day weaves the contemporary and the traditional together," shares Giizh. "Native people are all these times woven together—past, present, and future—and the New Day design celebrates that synergy." You can also find this design on Giizh's best-selling New Day Wool Blanket.

In shades of teal blue, Giizh has surrounded a daybreak—the New Day—with symmetrical, geometric loom designs. The result is a flowing line of warmth, positivity, and love flowing from your hand at the leash's handle down to where it connects to your pup. "We have always made and given art to those we love," says Giizh, "and now we can share art with our four-legged best friends. My old rez dog Neptune and my new rez puppy Choco stand out at the dog park when walking with their New Day Leashes."
