Heart-shaped petals are found blooming in Ojibwe woodlands and beadwork alike. Anishinaabe/Ojibwe artist Giizh Agaton Howes has brought together traditional Ojibwe floral design and contemporary fine jewelry in our beautiful Heart of the Forest Necklace.
"One of my favorite parts of creating is spending time outside to gain inspiration," says Giizh. "When I'm on a run or hike I have to stop and take photos of the beautiful flowers I find. Florals are an important part of Ojibwe beadwork designs, and it's a true joy include these classic shapes in my contemporary work." Cast in gold-plated stainless steel, this golden bloom is the perfect accessory for any outfit.
