Ashtáahile ítchikshe - Beautiful Tipi (Home) Feather Weight Blanket

Where is home for you? Whether it's the land you come from, a family home that’s been passed down for generations, or a new refuge to make all your own, the place you call home is the ultimate repose. From feeling the strength of the land flowing beneath you to soaking up the tranquil rays shining through the windows of the place you've made your own, your home is your sanctuary—the one place you can truly feel beautiful, rested, and grounded. Artist Bethany Yellowtail (Northern Cheyenne & Crow Nations) brings that feeling of peace and serenity into her Ashtáahile ítchikshe - Beautiful Tipi (Home) Feather Weight Blanket.

Inspired by the traditional Apsáalooke (Crow) Tipi design and her great grandmother's (Irene Not Afraid - Yellowtail) beadwork, she weaves the Crow hourglass motif across her blanket in shades of brown, butter yellow, cream, and sky blue. The sacred Crow hourglass pattern features two triangles embracing one another at their apexes, representing cosmic balance, spiritual protection, and the intersection of the earthly and spiritual realms. Wrap yourself in Bethany's Ashtáahile ítchikshe - Beautiful Tipi (Home) Blanket to ground yourself and feel the same peace you experience at home, wherever you go.

"I take great pride in decorating the interior of my own Tipi lodge that was given to me from my father as well as my physical home. For me, my home and lodge is my most peaceful place to be and a sanctuary. I believe a home should be the ultimate place of beauty, rest and serenity. With this blanket, I want people to feel grounded and have a sense of peace and calm," Bethany shares.

Our Feather Weight Blankets are a light-weight cotton-blend material that are cozy no matter the season! We designed this collection to offer an effortless and seasonless blanket that is travel friendly and easy to care for.
